It's a bit chilly in there but that's a huge plus for people looking to escape the heat. I tried so much more of the menu and nothing missed a beat. My mom and I had exceptional service and delicious food here for dinner last night. Easier than getting to the ID and easier to find parking, Regent is a win in my book. But the quality of the dim sum was fresh and tasted outstanding. Orders were taken and brought out fairly fast, water refilled, empty plates and baskets taken away, but not much in welcoming warmth from the reception/wait staff. Anyways, for their mistake of one less steamed bun order and not charged for the shrimp dumplings, we came out ahead. Were those fresh or one of them resteamed? Whatever. Then saw a pair brought back out to a family 4 top probably it was intended for. We ate the other, saw the one taken away brought back to the kitchen. Had one untouched steam basket taken away, even though I said I'd pay for both. Dim sum selections we enjoyed: 1- Siomai ($4) 1- Scallop and Shrimp dumplings ($5) 1- Honey Walnut Prawns ($8) 1- Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings ($7.95) 1- BBQ Pork Steamed Buns ($3) Asked for two orders, but got only one Was given 2 Shrimp dumplings instead.
REGENT SEATTLE DIM SUM PRO
Pro tip: Make sure to enunciate and/or reiterate your dim sum order. I sampled a sip, tasty and not as sweet as other milk teas I've had elsewhere. Aside from ice water, The Homie ordered their Hong Kong iced milk tea ($3). Pastries and cakes are delicious too (photographed their pastry cases), but I've only had them at their Bellevue/Eastgate location. This focused on their dim sum brunch offered on Thursdays to Sundays 1030am to 3pm.
This afternoon, the complete opposite with no luck at Nue, ended up at Regent on 8/13/17. Back on 4/1/17, no luck at Regent ended up at Nue.
